Extra Credit from Kayla

In my English class we wrote five snapshots. Snapshots our short written stories of our life. I thought those assignments were really cool. I got to know a lot about my classmates. It was not like any other class where I just know their name. I choose the snapshot where we wrote about our life challenges. I liked this one because it showed my true character, and I enjoyed sharing my challenge. It shows the adversity I had to go through, and it shows that everybody goes through challenges. It also can teach others that it is okay to fail. I enjoy writing about it.

There are many ways to make a great essay. First, I picked a topic. I decided that I wanted  my classmates to know my purpose in life. A good way that showed them was how I overcame a challenge in life. I than wrote an outline to help decide what I should include or exclude. After creating an outline, I wrote my paragraphs. After writing my rough draft I gave a copy to my neighbor, and a classmate from a different class. I asked them to read my story, and give constructive criticism. I want them to tell me what was a good, and what I need to work on to make it better. Finally I polished my paper, and I think it will be well written.
