Journal 9 - Payton

One question that I had was from the profile “Salmon Slicer” and that was ‘How many people leave high paying jobs to do something they actually love?’ Most of the answers that I found were that people never regretted leaving their jobs. They had to work a lot harder at their new job because the pay was so different but they loved it so it didn't matter.

I feel that I connected best to this profile as well. When I tell people i want to be a teacher they often warn me about how little of pay i will be getting. I just ignore them because I know that i will love doing it once i graduate. Yeah, it would be nice to make the same amount as a doctor but teachers make huge impacts on kids lives everyday which is enough for me.

  1. Hey Payton.
I totally think it is cool that you want to be teacher. If the world did not have teachers, therefore we would not be so advance in technology. I believe that teachers should be held higher standards because they get the kids to think creatively. teachers will always be very helpful.

  2. I like the question you used, if you want to be a teacher don't let others stop you. do what makes you happy, and what you wanna do in life. I have people tell me that I shouldn't go to school for zoology, but I am here and still fighting for what I want
