My favorite story in the book The Callings has to be the one of the funeral director. The funeral director in this shows great bravery and shows lots of respect. Even though the Jon he has to do can be very hard sometimes can show others how hard it may be to be a happy person. This man worked after his grandfather passed away a took over doing the job his grandfather had. The job can be very tough for anyone working people who have been deceased human beings. I find the job very hard too do if I was the man but him and his family don’t really mind the job. I feel like there is a good thing going for this guy though, he loves what he does and makes the best out of the job. Most people have given him a lot of criticism for what he’s doing and most people don’t like the way he’s doing it. The man needs to be respected for the tough job. I found a somewhat connection with this and it was how people are today with others and how most people show others disrespect one what they feel is good and bad.
This man loves what he does and will love it until they day he dies.

  1. I also chose this story to talk about so I completely agree with you. It was a very interesting story and I think these people have such an important job to fulfill.

  2. Miss you today Tyler:( Anyways, I really believe in your connection man. People now a days disrespect each other about what they feel. If the job one person loves, and is amazing, but another dude hates that job, so he decides to hate him due to his job and opinion. It sad, and hopefully the future is different.

  3. I could never do that job. I respect people that do hard jobs like that that no one else would want to do because everyone has their purpose and calling for something and that was his.
